Susan Sarandon Talks About Her Cosmetic Surgery
One of our favorite stars talks about what she's done and what she won't do
Yesterday, Susan Sarandon was on "Larry King Now," Larry King's new online series exclusively for Hulu.com. Almost right off the bat, King asked Sarandon, 65, "You look terrific, do you have work done?" All I could think was, "The nerve!" But very candidly she replied: "I had something sucked outta here about 10 years ago [gestures to her neck], but I just am kinda scared of the injections [like Botox]. I'm afraid I need my face to move when I work." She goes on to credit her makeup artist and "good lighting" to explain why she looks so good (while, of course, denying that she looks as stunning as we all know she does!). She also says not smoking helps, to which we couldn't agree more. See the clip of her what sha said about cosmetic surgery below or watch the whole interview at the bottom of this blog.
In detail, Sarandon told People magazine: "I’m happy to be considered desirable. I love it!"
"I've had some lipo under my chin and under my eyes", Sarandon revealed to People.
"I have these two huge frown lines here (on my forehead)", Sarandon explained. "But if you can't move your face or you're unrecognizable, I don't see how that's a productive enhancement. You don't want to look like a female impersonation of yourself."
"It’s true there aren’t that many good parts,"Sarandon continued. "I’ve had my disappointments. It’s hard to be in this business and not be an alcoholic or a drug addict or bitter as an older woman."
It has to be noted that sometime before or after liposuction, Susan may also have had a breast lift to keep her famous assets in their prime.
"Breasts certainly help … but it’s really more of an attitude. Sexuality means that you’re saying yes to life."
According to Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer: "It is hard to believe that Susan Sarandon is 65. Her body looks great and she unlike other stars in Hollywood is open about her plastic surgery. Susan has publicly confirmed surgery on her face, and it appears her breasts were part of that bundle too!"
It appears Sarandon has used plastic surgery wisely as she revealed to People: "You don’t want to look like a female impersonator of yourself. "
But, she also claims: "That’s one of the things you have to make your peace with - or get out of the business because everyone has those moments. I’m not the only one. If someone wants to get implants or tucks, you hope they will keep the essence of who they are, and not go over the top."
In an interview with Stella magazine, published in October 2010, Sarandon denied that she had undergone any Botox or plastic surgery. "I’m afraid of Botox," Sarandon was quoted as saying. "As an actress, you have to use your face. But I do think a woman has a right to do whatever she wants with her body."
Sarandon revealed in 2008 regarding plastic surgery procedures: "Plastic surgery gets addictive and too extreme. Looking good and being sexy is a state of mind - it’s about saying yes to life."
Susan Sarandon replied to Larry King on "Larry King Now," when she asked her: "You look terrific, do you have work done?", "I had something sucked outta here about 10 years ago (gestures to her neck), but I just am kinda scared of the injections (like Botox). I'm afraid I need my face to move when I work." She credited her makeup artist and "good lighting" to explain why she looks so fabulous!
Conclusion: Sarandon is looking great at her age. She has not gone way overboard with plastic surgery like some celebrities. It is also very admirable that Susan has admitted her plastic surgery procedures because they were done so well and nobody would have ever noticed...

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
